This morning I had the pleasure of presenting a design plan for a new Jack and Jill bathroom. Here are some of the goodies I brought over...
You may remember the clients:
She and I work well together. We both adore the colors of the sea with accents of gray and white, and natural elements for texture and warmth. We also share a love of clean lines and symmetry. They are a casual family who appreciate a beautiful space, but also value practicality (in my own home, practical I am NOT).
So, for the kids bath, I planned to maintain the favor of the house, while keeping budget in mind (as much as possible when gutting a bathroom!).
Here is the inspiration photo taken from Pinterest.
There will be 1x6 paneling to match the rest of the house on the lower portion of the wall, and this pretty soft grey on top. The custom vanity (below) will be in high gloss blue with cool, kid-friendly hardware, and a honed Carrara marble top.
The floors will be a honed herringbone white Carrara.
The shower will have the same tile in a brick pattern, and a new glass door.
There will be lots of fun, modern touches throughout...
This overhead....(the boys nixed the Moravian star)What kid wouldn't want a rain shower?
We will throw in some vintage elements, big fluffy blue towels for a pop of color, and black and white photos of the kids to personalize things.
Hoping for a green light on construction, so I can share the results sometime in March:)
Tomorrow I am off to photograph EIGHT rooms in THREE houses on the SAME street in Roswell. Gotta love word of mouth! These folks are the best, and I can't wait to share their happy homes with you.
LOVE TO ALL- And a very special thank you to the D family, for your trust and friendship. Time to check on the rosemary lemon chicken in the oven...smells almost done!
BUON APPETITO.
