Buon Anno

Happy New Year to all!  I hope you had a great time last night.  Here is s little taste of what we were up to over Christmas and New Year's.

The chocolate cake I brought for New Year's Eve was a hit. Here is the recipe in case you are not juicing right now:)

Bittersweet Chocolate Cake- by Cucina Lisa
Serves 8-12
10 oz  Ghirardelli 60% cacao chocolate chips
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter cut into pieces
4 eggs, separated
3/4 c. sugar
1 T. flour
pinch of cream of tartar

-Butter a pan w/ removable sides
-Melt chocolate in top of a double boiler. Remove from heat and whisk in butter, then sugar.
-Add egg yolks and then flour.
-Beat egg whites with a pinch of cream of tartar then fold them into the chocolate mix.
-Bake at 375 for approx 20-25 min.
-Dust with powdered sugar.
BUON APPETITO!

2014 promises to be a big one! I have been working hard on a Florida project to be completed in the Spring. The clients asked for a modern Italian seaside villa, with lots of COLOR. Here are some of the fun things that we will be using throughout the house:

The Missoni rug is killer, right? Colorful it will be!

Here is the design plan for one of the guest rooms:

And the accessories for that room, above.

Another guest room, above.

Also in the works for 2014, finding a college for my baby...

 Where did the time go?

LOVE, PEACE, HEALTH, HAPPINESS, SUCCESS, PROSPERITY, FUN
to ALL OF YOU IN 2014.

WITH GRATITUDE,
LISA
