Welcome to Atlanta - A City Condo

One year ago, my friend Jessica from Florence called me to tell me she was moving to Atlanta. YAY!
Love was luring her away from the Tuscan hills to the sprawling metropolis we now call home. Jessica was in the market for a city condo, and asked for my help in the design department. She is a landscape architect, and a move from the lush countryside to a high rise was a biggie. We can't feel too sorry for her though....

Atlanta Skyline in January
This view is spectacular in every season and at every time of day.  Cherry blossoms engulf the city in the spring and the view at night is as romantic as it gets.

The 2 bedroom condo is in a new construction and the couple was starting fresh in every way: new EVERYTHING was needed. We got the basics down, and now they are having fun shopping local antique markets for meaningful pieces to add the finishing touches.

Here is a little tour... (P.S. As much as I try, my photos do not render. It's time to buy a decent camera, but in the meantime please bear with me.)

The sofa and chairs are in Belgian linen from Restoration Hardware. We added accents of blue and green throughout. The soap stone coffee tables are from Crate and Barrel. A large mirrored screen in the corner from Vagabond Vintage reflects the view.

Jessica fell in love with these little chairs from my antique shop. The French table with coral top is also antique, and the Russian prints add a bit of color.

The kitchen came with the condo and we added hammered silver pendants from Currey and Co. and counter stools from Crate and Barrel.  The dining table behind the sofa acts as a console to divide the spaces. Here you see the antique architectural fragment lamps from behind.

The original landscape painting by a local artist is mounted on a folding screen to hide the large tv, and brings a little bit of the outside in. (These are available through me.)

Nineteenth century French botanicals of trees hang on the walls in the office, which also functions as a second guest room.  Jessica picked the chocolate army duck sleeper sofa, and then we added a mix of custom and store bought pillows, and custom ikat ottomans.

The built-in custom library is in Ben Moore Mascarpone with a dark taupe accent wall. All library sconces are from Circa Lighting.

A vignette from the master bedroom.  The walls are SW Panda White, the headboard and bed skirt is custom made from textural linen with mohair piping. The custom wool crewel pillow is the only pattern in a mix of yummy quilted linens from RH. Over the bed hangs a series of vintage egg prints in silver leaf frames from Pottery Barn.

Antique bench with custom finish and seersucker ticking .

A tiny taste of the guest room, which is waiting for a large Atlanta print to be hung.  More pictures to follow, as the custom drapes are to die for.

And now, a special treat....Jessica's breathtaking work.  The photos speak for themselves.

Home run! Her place looks smashing...all the neutrals and the soft blues...my favorite of course. I love your choices for art and Circa does have the best lighting. Beautiful Lisa.

Hi! Are you selling that folded art canvas that hides the TV? I love it! I'm looking for something to hide our flat screen and that is perfect!
