Remember the bathroom I was planning a while back? It was a tight Jack and Jill, with lots of doors, cramped spaces, and in desperate need of a fresh new look. You can read about the plan HERE, but today I am happy to report that the bathroom is finished!
Here is what we started with, below:
The BEFORE: Builder grade standard oak cabinetry, corian shell sink, beadboard and plate glass mirror. Notice the door separating the sink area and the wc/shower area. We knocked that wall out, making one large space for the two growing teenagers.
BEFORE: The white tile and grout was showing it's age.
AFTER:
A custom vanity in high gloss blue was designed, and topped with honed Carrara marble. We added a modern rectangular sink, square fixtures, and utilitarian hardware for a cool factor, and woven baskets and framed photos for warmth. The walls were planked in 1 x 6 boards two thirds of the way up, and painted BM Gray Owl on the top. Galvanized depot lights, monogrammed fringe towels on hooks, and a custom barn wood mirror add personality.
Glossy finish.
We installed a new sliding glass door, tub, and shampoo niche in honed Carrara subway tile in the shower area. One of my favorite elements in the room is the vintage inspired luggage rack-and hooks for easy access towels.
The same tile was laid in a herringbone pattern on the floor. The wool striped rug is from West Elm.
Sink and fixtures from Lowes. Chalkboard containers from Target.
Kids love cool, modern fixtures! These are from Delta.
Hey there;)
This was a fun space to plan! You may remember the clients from a kitchen project that received a little bit of attention.... No doubt: they have great taste! I am happy to report that their kitchen is now a covergirl on news stands nationwide:
THANK YOU, FRIENDS, FOR THE OPPORTUNITY...once again. And a big shout out to photographer Lauren Rubinstein for landing the deal, and making this baby shine.
Please let me know if I can help you design the bathroom of your dreams. I would love to hear from you at lisagabrielson.att.net
Have a wonderful week;)
