Our Scott's Marathon-Part One

As many of you know, it was Scott's Antique Market Weekend.  From time to time I exhibit there, and although it's hard work, it always pays off, and it's always a blast.  This month, my dad, John Gabrielson, came along for the ride to debut his collection of sinker cypress tables and sculptures. They were a hit with designers design savvy shoppers!

His tables are made from 500 year old cypress sinkers taken from N. Florida rivers. This pair was stunning!

My cocktail table sold, as did these sculptures. Some will be featured in a Rosemary Beach hotel soon:)

By now it's no secret what my favorite color is.... Chippy shutters and 1920's map in our booth.

This table will sit beside a modern free-standing bathtub. How cool!!

Cathi came to visit, and went home with a custom Casa Dei Fiori.  Grazie mille:) My husband and I first made this 20 years ago to decorate our home in Italy. They are now a hit at Scott's!

I still love a bit of industrial, and apparently so do others. Boy, I could have sold this huge baby 5x!

I also shopped other booths for a project I am working on.  The owners want a traditional English look (no distressed, no neutral, no painted furniture)...think rich wood antiques, rubbed brass, and warm colors. Leather and Ralph with sisal will do for the library. It's a gear change for me, but lots of fun!  Here are some of the goodies I came up with for them...

Red for the living room.  I love how it pulls in blues, greens and terra cotta. 

Picked up a pair of these mahogany chests for the living room.

I would love to see these ferns atop one of them, and a mirror over the other.

 A pair of these antique chairs would be great in the foyer flanking a console or chest.

I also looked for a rug for the master bedroom...

Choice 1: love the greys and wheat. Thinking she wants more color. The swatches are existing headboard and bench fabrics to match.

Choice 2: more blues and greens.

For the library:

Leather club chairs, plaid wool pillows, a huge map of Atlanta, chunky sisal, brass lamps. Yum.

I searched for a table to go between the chairs...

and bought this Victorian bamboo, but it did not pass the test...too rustic.

A brass and wood tea cart? I like it! What do you guys think? A butler's tray would work. So would a campaign table. Or a barley twist table. Let me know if you spot any about town please!
